The U.S. promotional products industry reached $27.1 billion in 2025 for the first time, with corporate gift sets and retail-branded products driving record growth according to PPAI's latest report.
The U.S. promotional products industry surpassed $27 billion in annual sales for the first time in 2025, with corporate gift sets and retail-branded merchandise emerging as key growth drivers.
According to PPAI's 2025 U.S. Distributor Sales Volume Estimate released in January 2026, total industry sales reached $27.1 billion—a 1.3% increase year-over-year. While overall growth was modest due to tariff volatility and tighter client budgets, specific segments showed exceptional performance. Retail-branded product sales surged 15.9% among large distributors, reaching an estimated $6 billion across the industry.
Online sales channels accounted for $7.1 billion, or 26.3% of total industry volume—marking digital commerce as a core pillar of the modern promotional products market. Smaller distributors saw online sales grow by 11.4%, underscoring the democratization of e-commerce within the sector.
“Buyers are choosing better products, not just cheaper ones,” said Alok Bhat, Market Economist at PPAI. Corporate buyers are increasingly directing budgets toward premium, customized gift sets that carry real brand impact.
